ASTM A335 P5 seamless pipes, also specified as ASME SA335 Grade P5, are ferritic chrome-moly alloy steel pipes designed for high-temperature and high-pressure service. With a controlled composition of 4.00 to 6.00 percent chromium and 0.45 to 0.65 percent molybdenum, Grade P5 delivers superior creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and long-term mechanical integrity at service temperatures up to 593 degrees C (1100 degrees F). These pipes are widely used in petroleum refineries, petrochemical plants, thermal power stations, and heat exchanger systems where standard carbon steel fails under heat and pressure. We manufacture ASTM A335 P5 seamless pipes using hot-rolling and cold-drawing processes, with heat treatment performed to ASTM A335 specification requirements, including normalize and temper or full anneal conditions. Custom sizes, cut-to-length, and special wall schedules are available on request.

P5 pipes are supplied normalized and tempered, full annealed, or isothermal annealed, as specified by the purchaser at the time of order. Subcritical annealing also applies for P5b and P5c sub-grades.
